Hello, I’m Erica Willoughby and I’m a multi-disciplinary artist based in the picturesque piney woods town of Tyler, Texas.
I’m recapturing my art passion in my later years after a long period of working in the nursing and teaching field.
I’ve always had a passion for creating art from nature and wildlife steeped in history. I had received an art scholarship after high school and then transitioning to a History Major. Art and History are my first loves and marrying the two together in my drawings was a no brainer.
You will see extensive lines following contours of my subject, varied textures and strong contrast in light and dark. I have added a little historic background with all of my artwork such as a story or legend that sets the illustration apart.
